Cleaning Your Concrete Candle Vessel
With the no waste concept becoming increasingly popular here at Body and Soul Candle. It is important for us to let you know how to repurpose your candle vessel. Cleaning your concrete vessel is a process that requires a few simple steps. Lets look at a method of choice for cleaning and repurposing.
Step One
Once your candle wick reaches 1/4th inch it is time to stop using it. Extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer or concrete lid that came with candle.
Step Two
Remove wick from vessel. The vessel and wax will be somewhat hot so proceed with caution. A good way to remove the wick is by using a plastic utensil (or something you can wipe the wax off of after). Gently move and slide wick out of vessel.
Step Three
Remove the wax. Because the wax is in a melted state you can easily soak up the wax with a paper towel. Wipe wax off bottom and sides.
Do not fill the vessel with water to clean!
Please note the outside of the candle vessel is sealed with a natural wax. This will act as a light barrier so little to no waxy residue after cleaning. Make sure to wipe up residue quickly.
Step Four

Now you can repurpose your candle vessels and use them around the house in all kinds of different ways. They’re great for storing items in your bathroom, used as a planter for cacti (no drainage holes), kitchen counter or bookshelf décor, or even as a pen holder on your desk.
We suggest reusing your candle vessels because we care about our environment and the future of our planet. We strive for our candles to be sustainable and not impact the environment or ourselves in a negative way.
