Sustainability: Re-Purpose Your Glass Candle Container

We try to be environmentally friendly, and we need your help to continue to meet our goal. The repurpose your container concept was created to give you ideas on the best way to repurpose the glass or ceramic containers after the candle is complete.

Cleaning your empty candle

Collect your Body and Soul Candle glass containers.

Prepare a pot with water.

Place the used candle containers in the pot.

Simmer slowly until the wax is fully melted.

Pour the wax into the compost bin (Do Not pour down sink!). We use 100% soy wax and it is compostable. Or soak up with paper towel.

Wick tabs and labels fall off easily. Wipe the containers until the leftover wax is completely cleaned, this can be done with a kitchen cloth.

*For ceramic containers. Once the wick is burned down to 1/4” inch use a butter knife to remove wick or twist wick from bottom. Clean wax with a damp hot cloth. The goal is to not soak the ceramic.
